Yes, our race happens, rain or shine.

The Start/Finish is Off Center, in the section of 2700 Camino Ramon adjacent to City Center Bishop Ranch (location). We recommend parking at City Center and walking over (directions).

The Turkey Trot 5k starts at 8:30am. The Tiny Turkey starts at 9:30am. 

You have three chances: 

• Tuesday, November 25 12pm - 8pm Sports Basement San Ramon,  1041 Market Pl, San Ramon (NEW!) Pick up at Sports Basement on Tuesday to be enter into the Sports Basement Ski-Giving Giveway! The winner receives TWO family ski leases for the season ($1,200 value each - winners to be announced on race day. Must be present to win.)
• Wednesday, November 26  12pm - 6pm Fieldwork Brewing, City Center Bishop Ranch
• Thursday, November 27 6:30- 8:30am at the Start/Finish, Off Center, 2700 Camino Ramon (location)

Each racer receives a custom wooden finishers medal, a long-sleeve Bishop Ranch Turkey Trot shirt, a custom bib, and a GREAT morning!

Parking is free. Please park in the City Center parking lot. There is also parking in the overflow lot at 2600 Camino Ramon.

Yes, we are dog-friendly! We do ask that you start near the back and use your best judgment with the crowd. We are also stroller-friendly!

Yes, the Turkey Trot 5k is chip-timed. Results appear dynamically as runners finish, in real time. You can see your results on this website (bishopranchturkeytrot.com). 

No, there is not a formal time limit. We expect everyone to be done within 90 minutes based on our past experiences.

Yes, please do! Great volunteers are what makes this event wonderful. You can sign up here. 

We will not be mailing shirts and bibs this year. Contact us if you have a special request.

Oh yes! You absolutely should! We will choose folks in costume for special gifts on race day. Post yourself running in turkey garb and tag us at #bishopranchturkeytrot and we may send you something nifty. 

There are prizes for the top three male and female finishers (13 and above) and the top three young male and female finishers (0 - 12). There is a podium award presentation for these categories at 9:10am or when all the champions are done.

Yes, we do offer age group awards. Those are:

• 5-12
• 13-15
• 15-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70-79
• 80+

Age group awards don't have a separate podium presentation. These awards are self-reported. Please report into the timing table to see if you have placed in your age group. 

If you miss picking up your Age Group Award, they will be available starting Friday at Sports Basement San Ramon. We will not be able to mail your award to you.

Yes, everyone who participates get a medal. This includes the Tiny Turkey.

Yes, feel free to come on race day and we will sign you up!

We practice radical acceptance of deferrals and transfers. You can defer or transfer at any time up until race day (but not after the race has taken place.) This includes gifting your registration to a friend. 

Here are your options. You can:

• Defer until next year's race. We sign you up automatically after registration opens for next year's race.
• Transfer your race to a friend. They can come and enjoy a good time.
• Transfer to any other of our events between now and a year from now. You join us in the future!

All of these options are available to you by selecting Manage Registration in your profile. Here is a little tutorial on how to manage your registration. It's all free of charge. 

As to refunds, we don't offer cash refunds under any circumstance. Please consider purchasing race insurance at checkout. This is exactly what it's here for.

Kinda. If there are extra shirts leftover on race day, you can purchase one. We try to meet the needs of all the registered runners before distibuting the extras.

Before the race, you can change you shirt size through your profile. Here's a video on how to do that.

If your shirt size is sold out, you may be able to get a different size on race day. At the end of the race we allow runners to swap out their shirt for the available inventory of shirts. This trading is first-come, first-served and can be fun!

Unforunately the closer we are to race day, the more likley it is that your shirt size will be sold out. We do our best to accomodate everyone.

There are porta potties at the start/finish area only. The race passes by them about 1 mile into the race as well.

Yes! Music if fun to listen to. Please be aware of your surroundings and other runners if you wear headphones.

Yes, we do have an informal place for you to leave things at the registration area. This is not a formal will-call so please consider leaving valuable items at home.

Yes there are! These are awards that you can claim at the timing table. There is no award presentation for the Age Group Awards.
